CASA CENOTE: Located 15 km. south of Akumal, follow the dirt road to the beach. The restaurant is open daily. Noon until dark, except Monday. Informal lunch and snorkeling in the cenote. Great Sunday BBQ buffet lunch.

LA BUENA VIDA: Short walk towards Half Moon Bay. Downstairs bar on sand. Upstairs has seafood and Mexican specialties for lunch and dinner.

LA LUNITA: In Hacienda de la Tortuga on Half Moon Bay; tables on sand or indoor. Mostly Mexican seafood.

LOL-HA RESTAURANT: Located on the main beach in Akumal, open from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Great open-air bar with a wonderful view and a palapa roof. Good food with a broad selection of everything from hamburgers to seafood as well as Mexican and Yucatecan specialties. Happy hour daily from 5:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. Great for meeting other visitors and Akumal locals.

LUCY’S KITCHEN: Hand-made gourmet ice cream. Open 9:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday.
